Having a net worth is important to any businessperson, and Steve Eisman is no different. The CEO of the Los Angeles Lakers is the richest basketball player in the world, and he’s known for a number of successful business ventures.
Biography
During the 2007-2008 real estate bubble, Steve Eisman made his mark as a contrarian analyst, betting against subprime home loans and mortgages. His short positions helped him profit from the collapse. As a result, he is now known as a famous hedge fund manager.
In his book, The Big Short, author Michael Lewis profiled Eisman. He was portrayed by Oscar-nominated actor Steve Carell.
Before he started his career on Wall Street, Eisman attended Yeshiva schools and graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania. He then married Valerie Feigen in 1989. They had two children. He is a member of the Neuberger Berman Private Asset Management division.
During his time at FrontPoint Partners, LCC, he managed more than US$1 billion. This led to his profile in Michael Lewis’s 2010 book, The Big Short. His short positions against the private college industry, along with Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), and progressive groups, drew a lot of criticism.
Career
Whether you’re a Steve Jobs fan or not, you can’t deny that Steve is a high-powered exec. In fact, he’s one of the most successful members of the Apple juggernaut. In addition to his job, he lives in a beautiful house in San Francisco. He’s also got a dog and a cat. And, he’s single!
Luckily, he’s a man with a big heart. After all, he left his daughter in the dust in 1985. The good news is, he’s found love again. And he knows it. The bad news is, his love interest isn’t quite as enamored with the man of the hour as she once was.
The real name is Lisa Brennan-Jobs. She was born in 1978, but the story is that she’s been dating Steve for a little over a decade. She also is an Apple enthusiast, which means she’s got some very relevant experience. She’s also the best prankster a woman can be. But, that’s a topic for another article.
