Overwater Bungalows in the Bahamas

Posted on December 14, 2022 by admin

Whether you want to relax in the tropics, or get your adrenaline pumping in the Caribbean, you’ll find an overwater bungalow in the Bahamas that’s right for you. These properties can be found in some of the best locations in the country, including Cat Island, Laucala Island, and Anthony’s Key.

Punta Caracol Acqua Lodge

Located in the Caribbean Sea, Punta Caracol Acqua Lodge offers overwater bungalows to guests who want to stay in a peaceful and relaxing environment. These bungalows are built with eco-friendly materials using traditional craft construction techniques. The overwater bungalows have direct access to the ocean. These villas are equipped with all amenities required for a comfortable and pleasant stay.

The overwater villas have private infinity pool and a two person soaking tub. All of these facilities are included in the room rate. They also have a private patio with an extended sun deck and a bistro set for two.

These suites are the smallest of the overwater bungalows at Punta Caracol. They are two stories high, with a thatched palm-leaf roof. They have a king size bed in the upper level, and a pair of single beds in the lower level. They also have a private patio with a bistro set for two, and an outdoor shower.

Anthony’s Key Resort

Located on the Caribbean Sea, Anthony’s Key Resort offers overwater bungalows. These rustic, wooden accommodations overlook the sparkling blue waters of the Caribbean. A mini-fridge, air conditioning, and an outdoor table are included. They also have hammocks and hammock chairs, as well as Honduran hardwood furnishings.

The water sports are plentiful at Anthony’s Key, including snorkeling and kayaking. There are two daily snorkeling excursions, as well as kayak tours on the calm lagoon. There are also stand-up paddleboards available, as well as free kayak rentals.

Aside from the water activities, the main objective at the Roatan Institute for Marine Sciences is education. There are several courses to choose from, including a course on coral reef conservation. There are also snorkeling and scuba diving packages. The resort also offers a dive shop, spa, and underwater photo shop.

Cat Island

Located in the Bahamas, Cat Island is one of the most beautiful islands in the world. The island features overwater bungalows with crystal clear waters and breathtaking views. It is also home to the Shannas Cove Resort. The island is a little off the beaten path, but a visit is well worth the trip.

The overwater bungalows are a little pricey. You can expect to pay about $100 a night for a basic one-bedroom unit, but you can easily upgrade to a multi-bedroom villa. The suites come with everything you would expect in a luxury hotel including air conditioning, a private plunge pool, and a large bathroom. Some even come with their own personal butlers.

Fortunately, there are many places to stay that offer overwater bungalows. These luxurious accommodations are perfect for travelers who want a taste of paradise without the hefty price tag.

Laucala Island

Located in the South Pacific, Laucala Island is an all-inclusive resort that caters to both couples and families. The private island is 12 square kilometres in size and surrounded by picture-perfect white-sand beaches, rocky cliffs, and dramatic rainforest landscapes.

Guests of Laucala Island can enjoy snorkeling, hiking, and other fun activities. They can also go on horseback rides or a cultural tour. The resort is also known for its orchids.

The island offers an 18-hole championship golf course. There are also five bars and restaurants. The island also has its own water sports centre. Guests can hire jet skis, kayaks, and catamarans. They can also take a sunset cruise on a kauri-hulled ReRe Ahi yacht.

Aside from the many activities on offer, there are also accommodations to choose from. There are 25 private villas on the island. The villas are designed in a free-flowing style with soft curves and walls made of doga timber and bala bala fern stems.

Sandals South Coast

Located on the beautiful southern coast of Jamaica, Sandals South Coast Over-the-Water Bungalows offer the ultimate in privacy and luxury. Set on a two-mile stretch of pristine white sand beach, these suites are located within a 500-acre nature preserve.

All of the accommodations at Sandals South Coast are designed for adults. The resort has a number of activities that are available to guests. The property also offers a 24-hour butler service. These butlers will arrange private dinners on the deck, bring drinks to the pool, and make reservations for guests. They can also provide round-trip transfers to the airport.

While most of the accommodations at Sandals are all-inclusive, some amenities may incur an additional fee. Those include scuba diving, snorkeling, and waterskiing. Guests can even take a PADI certification course.
