Posted on November 12, 2022 by admin

Larry Fortensky was the husband of Elizabeth Taylor, who left him an estate worth $800 million in her will. Larry was once arrested for drunk driving and struggled with substance abuse.

Taylor Fortensky’s estate dispute

In the wake of Taylor Fortensky’s death, the public is wondering what happened to her husband’s estate. Fortensky reportedly had a prenuptial agreement whereby he would receive $1 million if his marriage lasted five years. The couple later divorced and Fortensky hired divorce lawyer Raoul Felder to settle the matter. The estate is believed to be worth a billion dollars.

While it is unknown how much money Fortensky had, his wife’s estate dispute has caused rifts within his family. His wife’s sister, Linda, blames him for selling out her estate. Their only daughter, Julie, is not speaking to him.

Elizabeth Taylor’s net worth is around PS360 million. The dispute centers on the PS500,000 share of the estate that Larry Fortensky is entitled to receive. The net worth of his estate could be even higher. After the divorce, Fortensky fell into obscurity and refused to give interviews. He has continued this vow of silence, despite his ill health.

However, the house was repossessed in 2010, after it fell in value.

After leaving Richard Burton, Taylor Fortensky married six more men. She first married political figure John Warner in 1974 and divorced him the following year. In 1988, she married construction worker Larry Fortensky. However, the couple divorced in 1996. After the divorce, Taylor began to date Anthony Geary. She was also engaged to Dennis Stein and Victor Luna. In 1991, she became pregnant with her eighth husband.

In the 1990s, she worked intermittently but primarily focused on HIV/AIDS activism. She retired from acting in order to dedicate more time to philanthropy.

Taylor Fortensky’s relationship with Larry Fortensky

Elizabeth Taylor’s relationship with Larry Fortensky was very private. The couple had dated for a year and then married on 6th October 1991. In 1996, they separated and divorced. It was reported that she left Fortensky $825,000 in her will. Fortensky had a difficult time with memory loss and could not work, but he stayed upbeat and insists he wasn’t a gold digger.

The two were still close friends until the end of the relationship. They talked on the phone about twice a month. When Taylor was in the hospital, Fortensky called her to ask how she was feeling. According to Fortensky, Taylor’s voice was weak due to fluid in her lungs from heart failure. Nevertheless, she was hopeful that she would be OK. Unfortunately, Taylor died a few days later. Fortensky only found out about her death when he saw a news report about the actress’s passing.

While Taylor and Fortensky initially enjoyed a good relationship, there were a few issues that strained their relationship. Fortensky was struggling with alcoholism and drug addiction. He was once convicted of driving under the influence and had to check into a treatment center to overcome his habit. The couple met at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California, where Fortensky met Taylor. Taylor was there for the same reasons – she had a pill problem. However, the relationship grew to the point where Fortensky and Taylor got married.

Taylor Fortensky’s prenuptial agreement

The question is whether Taylor Fortensky’s prenup is still valid. After all, the couple was married over 40 years ago. In a prenuptial agreement, Fortensky gave up his claims to proceeds from Taylor’s cosmetics contracts and production company. In addition, he also agreed to forgo any claim he had to a settlement in a lawsuit against the National Enquirer.

The prenuptial agreement stated that Fortensky would pay Elizabeth Taylor $2.8 million for every year they were married. The couple divorced in 1982. Fortensky was a military officer and served in the U.S. Army for three years. He died in Fontana, California, on July 7, 2016. Interestingly, In 2009, Fortensky gave Elizabeth Taylor $50,000 to pay off their mortgage, which kept the couple’s home from going into foreclosure.

Several celebrity couples have prenuptial agreements. Among these are Mike Tyson and Robin Givens, Madonna and Sean Penn, Donald and Ivana Trump, and John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette. While most celebrity couples hire lawyers to draw up the contract, many average couples decide to write a prenup on their own. Typically, the agreement addresses a couple’s property division.
