Kate McKinnon Berthold and Michael Thomas Berthold

The architect and interior designer Michael Thomas Berthold has two homes in his portfolio: an earth tone shingle studio garage and a small Victorian home. He and his wife, Laura Campbell, share the latter with their two daughters. After an illness that kept him from designing, Mr. Berthold decided to build the studio-garage two years ago.
