JJ Jackson Joins Roosevelt Group As Senior Advisor

JJ Jackson is a 33-year veteran of the United States Air Force. He served as a one-star general and later became a music reporter. Jackson co-wrote much of his material with fellow air force veteran Windsor King. He also served on the board of MVLE, a non-profit that supports individuals with disabilities.

Joseph M. Jackson, a 33-year Air Force veteran, flew 33 combat missions over Germany. While in the Air Force, Jackson also held various command positions. He held posts at the Pentagon, Pacific Air Forces and Headquarters U.S. Strategic Command. In addition to his combat service, General Jackson has more than 3,600 hours of flight time.

A 33-year Air Force veteran, JJ has extensive operational experience and extensive program management skills. He has experience leading large teams and developing multi-cultural teams. He is a proven hands-on operational leader.

General J.J. Jackson was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia. He was orphaned at an early age and was raised by relatives. Although he had little formal education, Jackson was able to secure an appointment to the U.S. Military Academy, where he graduated 17th out of 59 cadets. His military career spanned more than five decades, and he served in a variety of positions, including chief of staff at the Pentagon.

Jackson’s distinguished military career included tours in Europe and the Pacific. He also held various leadership positions throughout the U.S. His career included assignments in the Air Mobility Command, the Air Combat Command, the Pacific Air Forces Command, and the United States Strategic Command. He has extensive experience in air operations, including nuclear, conventional, and cyber operations. In addition, he served in the Pentagon for three tours.

He co-wrote much of his material with Windsor King

JJ Jackson began recording in 1967, when he signed with Loma Records, a label later absorbed by Warner Bros. Records. He released a series of singles on both labels between 1967 and 1969. Many of his songs were co-written with Windsor King, a producer who worked with Jackson while he was recording for Calla Records. In addition to co-writing and producing many of Jackson’s songs, King also produced many of his songs, including the hit “Boogaloo Baby” and “Jimmy’s Song.”

JJ Jackson joined The Roosevelt Group as a senior advisor in the fall of 2017. Jackson served as the Chief of the Air Force Reserve and Commander of the Air Force Reserve Command before his retirement. He has extensive military experience, including tours in Europe and the Pacific, as well as multiple leadership positions throughout the U.S. He has also served as an adjunct professor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where he taught courses on aviation safety, airfield management, and aeronautical engineering. In addition, he has attended several professional executive training programs.

He was a senior advisor at NIKA

Jimmie “JJ” Jackson, Jr. serves as Vice President of Business Development at NIKA, where he is responsible for directing the business development process. He is also a member of the strategic growth team, working to identify new business opportunities and develop winning strategies. His background includes leadership roles in both small businesses and large organizations, as well as experience leading cross-functional teams.

Prior to joining NIKA, JJ Jackson served in the Air Force, serving in several leadership positions in the United States. In 1978, he graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy with a degree in Human Factors Engineering. During his career, he held leadership roles in the Air Combat Command, Air Mobility Command, and Pacific Air Forces Command. He has also completed multiple professional executive training programs.
