Larry Linville was born in Ojai, California, on September 29, 1939. His mother was a teacher. He studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. He went on to become an actor, and starred in several films. He died in 2000.

Larry Linville married Kate Geer on April 25, 1962. The couple had one child, Kelly. He later divorced Kate. Larry Linville married Vana Tribbey on December 25, 1977. The couple divorced in 1982. He later married Susan Hagan on October 15, 1986.
